Student monks too hold a protest

Heavy traffic jam reported from Dharmapala Mawatha Colombo today due to a protest organized by the Inter University Bhikkhu Federation (IUBF) calling for an inquiry into the recent death of a student monk of the Anuradhapura Buddhasrawaka Bhikkhu University.
Meanwhile the road blocks placed in the Kollupitiya junction towards the Temple Trees ha been removed. A police officer on duty at the scene when asked about the removal of the barriers, said that the protesters have the freedom to march at any direction they want.
