Thilakarathne Dilshan's Doping Reports are False - Another Mud Slinging Campaign !

Sri Lanka Cricket Board denied reports that Tillakaratne Dilshan ( T M Dilshan ) has tested positive in a dope test during the on going ICC Cricket World Cup in Asia. Brian Thomas who is the Sri Lankan team manager told ESPNSTAR.com that Dilshan did not even undergo the dope test which further confirms that it's a another mud sligging campaign."The only two cricketers who underwent the test include Chamara Silva and Ajantha Mendis and they were ok with it" he said.


"These are all rubbish going around the world media. These are all false reports," he further clarified.


Few Days ago, bogus so called unbiased media claimed that Dilshan tested positive with a banned substance. The only player to be tested positive during a World Cup is Legendary Spinner Shane Warne from Australia

Intense fighting in Libyan cities !

Dictator Gaddafi's Forces  and opposition backed forces are locked in intense fighting for control of several cities and towns across Libya. Nearly month-long uprising is threatening to end Dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's more than 41-year-old rule.Some of the fiercest fighting is taking place in the oil rich city of Az-Zawiyah which is 50km west of the capital Tripoli ( Tripoli is Where Gaddafi is Hiding).


"The revolutionaries (Oppostion) control the centre of Zawiyah and Dictator Gadhafi's forces are surrounding it. It's 50-50, anybodies victory" a resident who fled the city said."There was no one in the streets, the town is completely deserted, and there are snipers on the roofs," he said, adding that he did not know which side they were on.


Forces loyal to Gaddafi say they have wrested the city from the hands of rebels, a claim denied by those ranged against the Libyan Dictator.Any independent confirmation of the claims and counter-claims, however, is difficult since  is difficult since journalists are unable to reach the city due to bombs dropped in these cities by Gaddafi.


But residents said the city had been under sustained attack from Dictator Gaddafi baberic forces whic hwere aided by tanks and war planes.There are also reports of fighting raging in the eastern port city of Ras Lanuf, where an oil installation has gone up in flames.Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland, reporting from the frontline, described a steady volley of mortar and rocket fire, blanketing the sky with dark smoke, turning day to night.


"Pro-Gaddafi forces unleash a savage counter-offencive against the town of Ras Lanuf," Rowland said. "Rebel fighters sitting on the ground are vulnerable, and they know it."The rebel fighters are largely inexperienced. Abdul Razik Bubakar, 32, car mechanic who has joined anti-Gaddafi forces, told the AP news agency that he is learning how to use anti-aircraft gun on the fly."I didn't know anything about it. I just learnt in two or three days. Now I know how to use it, thanks to God. Now I am really quick using it, cleaning it and fixing it," said Bubakar. 

Master plan to Tarnish the Image of Sajith Premadasa ? - ( Baba ) Namal behind the scene !

According to the information we received, their is a master plan to tarnish the image of UNP future leader Sajith Premadasa who is gaining  popularity day by day..  Several crossed over UNP'ers like Johnston Fernando (A person who had studied only upto Grade 8), Another (former UNP'er) minister  from Kaluthara were hired so far.  Also some current UNP members who doesn't have much voter base are too being  paid to sling mud at Premadasa and tarnish his image.

The idea was given to him by Percy who won presidential elections twice by extreme cheating (which involved paying to Tiger Terrorists etc..). (baba) Namal fears that he will find it extremely difficult in future to win a Presidential or General Election against Sajith Premadasa who is having a strong support at the ground level.   

Heavy shellings by Dictator Gaddafi in Ras Lanuf oil city in Libya - Heavy casualties !

Forces loyal to Libyan Dictator Muammar Gaddafi have launched new air raids on the oil city of Ras Lanuf under oppstion control and are closing in on the western town of Az Zawiyah.


Fresh reports of rockets landing on Ras Lanuf came on Wednesday, with one news correspondent there saying there was intense fighting taking place between rebels and the government's fighter jets.


"What we are hearing is intense and repeated attacks by Gaddafi's airplanes on the rebels," Jacky Rowland said. "The air force is concentrating on the big junctions at the entrance to the town. The opposition fighters are extremely panicked."


She said the oil facility there had been hit in three places.


"There are huge plumes of smoke leaping into the air. We can see mortar fire from Gaddafi troops and the rebels are firing rockets towards the west."


Khaled Kwafi, a member of the opposition forces based on the outskirts of Ras Lanuf, told Al Jazeera that people were killed and injured in the attack.


"An hour ago we saw warplanes in the sky. We heard very huge explosions and lots of smoke. Our people tried to go there but they were stopped," he said.


"We heard there are people killed and injured there."

Minister Johnston Fernando gifted with 20 expensive shirts - Given by coordinating secretary, Dida

One of Minister Johnston Fernando's coordinating secretaries, Mohommad Iliyas alias Dida who uses the Cooperatives and Internal Trade Ministry for his rackets, has recently gifted the Minister 20 high quality shirts valued at US$ 279 each.


It is also reported that Dida had allegedly earned millions of rupees fraudulently when he worked as a coordinating secretary to former deputy tourism minister Faizer Mustapha and had joined Johnston's ministerial staff after paying him a large amount of money.


A senior ministry official told us that due to his involvement in all exports and imports carried out by the Ministry, as part of the minister's personal staff, the racketeering has had an impact on the prices of essential commodities.


Though Minister wears blazers most of the time, he had studied only up to grade 8 which was revealed during hearing of one of the bogus cases in a court martial against General Sarath Fonseka. 

Top British businessmen among 9 arrested in Icelands Kaupthing bank probe

Police have arrested nine people, including two of Britain's wealthiest entrepreneurs, on suspicion of fraud in connection with the 2008 collapse of Iceland's Kaupthing bank during the global financial crisis.


Britain's Serious Fraud Office said seven men aged between 42 and 54 were held in raids on two businesses and eight homes in London. The properties were being searched and the suspects questioned at police stations in the city. Two men, aged 42 and 43, were arrested in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik.


Entrepreneurs Robert and Vincent Tchenguiz confirmed they were among those arrested in London and said they were "cooperating fully" with authorities.
A police van was parked outside the office of the brothers' investment firm, Rotch Property, in the upmarket Mayfair area.


The Tchenguiz brothers amassed a large property portfolio and had investments in some of Britain's best-known retail brands, including grocer J. Sainsbury PLC and pub chain Mitchells & Butlers.


But the business borrowed more than 1 billion pounds ($1.62 billion) from Kaupthing, and was plunged into crisis when the bank collapsed. Icelandic media said former Kaupthing chairman Sigurdur Einarsson was also arrested in London.


Britain's fraud office is investigating whether Kaupthing made false claims while trying to attract British investors to its "high yield" deposit account, Kaupthing Edge.
It is also looking at why "substantial value" was taken out of the bank shortly before it collapsed.


Iceland's economy imploded when Kaupthing and the other major banks collapsed under the weight of huge debt in the early days of the world financial crisis.
Prosecutors have already made several arrests in Iceland as they investigate suspected market manipulation and fraud in the run-up to the banking crash.

Central Bank Governor pressures Nation Lanka Finance Company directors to hand the company to Asanga Seneviratne

Central Bank Governor, Nivard Cabral has threatened the directors of the Nation Lanka Finance Company to hand the company to a businessman known as Asanga Seneviratne
The Central Bank Governor had summoned the two directors of the company, Ranaweera and Gamage, to his office and had warned them that the company would have to face unwanted issues if they did not agree to the transaction.

Asanga Seneviratne was earlier trying to purchase the Nation Lanka Finance Company for cheap and that such a move would have an adverse impact on the investors in the company.

Fierce battles Still Continues in Libya between Pro Dictator Gaddafi Forces & Opposition !

Fierce battles raged Tuesday for control of key Libyan cities in the east and west as Libya entered its fourth week of fighting and continued its descent into civil war.
In the eastern oil city of Ras Lanuf, rebels fired antiaircraft guns after Libya's air force carried out fresh raids.


Video shot by Sky News showed that fighting was continuing in Zawiya, despite government assertions that forces loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi controlled the oil-refining city. Hundreds of anti-government demonstrators could be seen marching in the street, many of them pumping their fists in the air. As the crackle of gunfire could be heard, the demonstrators ran toward the camera. Four men could be seen carrying a fifth, then putting him into an ambulance.


A doctor who left the city in the morning told that Gadhafi forces had fatally shot two fellow doctors in the main square and were shooting wounded civilians rather than allowing them to be treated. The city's two medical clinics were closed, he said.


Military casualties were being taken from the city by ambulance, he further said.

Strong earthquake hits Japan ! - 7.2 magnitude and No casualties So far !

A major 7.2-magnitude quake has hit Japan, swaying buildings in Tokyo and triggering a tsunami warning, but causing no reported casualties or damage.


The quake struck late on Wednesday morning, about 10km below the Pacific seafloor. The epicentre was about 160km offshore and 430km northeast of Tokyo.


The Japan meteorological agency issued a tsunami warning for the east coast of the main Honshu island, where a 24-inch wave was first reported at Ofunato port half an hour after the quake.


Police said they had received no reports of casualties from the quake, or from a 5.6-magnitude aftershock that struck nearby about 12 minutes later.


Tokyo Electric and Tohoku Electric, nuclear power operators, confirmed that the quake did not damage their atomic plants and prefectures in Aomori, Miyagi and Fukushima."


"First I felt a jolt that pushed from underneath, then a big sideways tremor that lasted for about 20 seconds," Yoshiyuki Sato, an official at Kurihara City in Miyagi prefecture, about 300km northeast of Tokyo, told the Reuters news agency.


Some Shinkansen bullet trains in the region automatically stopped when the  quake hit but then resumed their services, railway operators said.


Local residents in the rural seaside areas where the quake was felt most strongly reported no immediate damage from the quake.


"It continued for about 30 seconds, but I don't see anything that looks different," Yoshio Hoshi, a retired fisherman in Miyagi prefecture, said.


Japan lies on the 'Ring of Fire'- an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones that stretches around the Pacific Rim and where about 90 per cent of theworld's quakes occur.
